Hangzhou Internatiaonal Polymer Forum 2017 (HIPF'2017) was successfully held at Hangzhou Dahua Hotel on May 22-25th, 2017. 196 official representatives (50 overseas representatives) from 13 countries and regions including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Canada, the Czech Republic, the United States, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, Greece, Singapore, Hong Kong China and China attended the forum.

The forum was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering. The forum chairs were Professor Li Bo-Geng, deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering and director of the Zhejiang University Branch, and Professor Zhu Shiping of McMaster University, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada. Plenary lectures were given by Professor W. Kaminsky of Hamburg University Germany, the world famous chemist and inventor of metallocene catalyst, Professor Zhang Xi of Tsinghua University, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Tang Yong of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Michael F. Cunningham of Queen's University Canada, Professor Hidetaka Tobita of Fukui University Japan as well as Professor Li Bo-Geng. There were also 33 invited lectures and 9 oral presentations in this forum. After vote from 86 poster presentations by the participated experts, 5 ones reported by doctoral students were selected and awarded as the best papers by Saudi Basic Industry Corporation.
