Introduction

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Engineering of Zhejiang University was established in 2000. It is composed of the personnel engaged in drug research and development and manufacturing in the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. There are 20 faculty members, including 12 professors (researchers) and 4 associate professors. Through double-employment and part-time employment, a number of academicians, domestic and foreign university professors and enterprise experts have been employed as part-time teachers of this major, and the teachers are strong. The Pharmaceutical Engineering Institute's undergraduate major in pharmaceutical engineering, as well as master's and doctoral degrees, and the new era develop the same frequency resonance, fruitful, and cultivated for the pharmaceutical industry including Jieqing, Yangtze River, university president, chairman of pharmaceutical company, research and development director And a group of outstanding talents such as the president of the institute. The Institute also recruits masters and doctoral students in all aspects of the first-level disciplines of chemical engineering and technology, and trains cross-comprehensive senior talents who have both pharmacology and pharmaceutical engineering capabilities.

The Institute is mainly engaged in scientific research in the fields of natural medicine preparation technology, drug design and synthesis, green pharmaceutical technology and advanced preparation technology, including: natural medicine extraction, separation and purification methods and preparation processes, natural drug molecular structure modification and pharmacological effects, and environment. Drug synthesis and separation and refining technologies in friendly media (such as near-critical water, supercritical carbon dioxide, ionic liquids, etc.), continuous pipeline technology in drug synthesis, microwave reaction technology, biological and synthetic macromolecular construction targeting/sustained release, etc. Development of drug carrier systems, advanced functional materials and innovative dosage forms.

The Institute relies on the Key Laboratory of Biomass Chemicals and the Ministry of Education and the National Laboratory of Secondary Resources and Chemical Industry. It has strong scientific research strength and has taken the lead in recent years or participated in national key science and technology projects, national key research and development plans, major projects of national natural science funds, and key projects. More than 60 major projects, and more than 10 million corporate cooperation projects, the first communication unit in Science, Nature Commun., Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. The top international publications have published more than 300 SCI papers and more than 200 invention patents. The research results have been industrialized in many places in China, resulting in significant economic and social benefits, and won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award and other national and provincial departments. More than ten awards.
